Managed to get down to WSM last night for the evening tide (20:00). Hit the
water about 18:30 - would have been earlier but it took me almost 1 1/2hrs
to get there from Thornbury (Thanks a bunch, M5 roadworks planners).
110l Cross was the obvious board, with 6.2m. Unfortunately, *both* my 6.2m
sails are at Bristol Sails for some TLC. Pete Davies immediately stumped up
with a brand new 6.2m Severne Blade which saved the evening. Many thanks,
Pete - I owe you one.
Conditions were incredibly un-muddy as the tide came most the way up the
beach, leaving just the tops of the "Warning - Mud..." signs breaking the
surface just occasionally.
Nothing spectacular, just some effortless blasting, occasional jumps in
winds F2 to top end of F4. A worthwhile trip - thanks to Pete, again.
